We also donated food to sustain their Uji na Fom programme tailored to providing breakfast and lunch to school going kids.

In partnership with Kapa Oil Refineries, we awarded two scholarships to two students at Kiambu High School and Ngara Girls High School. Together we’re championing for basic education and literacy, a vital area of focus for Rotary.
Leadership & Professional Development
The Leadership and Professional Development committee at RAC Nairobi Magharibi aims to enrich members’ professional skills, broaden their perspectives, reinforce their ethical principles, and empower them to create a greater impact in their professional careers and community service. This goal is achieved by arranging engaging sessions (talks/debates/panels) tailored to members’ interests. These sessions feature knowledgeable speakers, both from within and outside the organization, who excel in their respective fields.
We hosted Firyal Nur, CEO of the Nur Agency and a force in the fashion industry, boasting a track record with global brands like Gucci. Her insights brought a fresh perspective on how the art of connection can be harnessed to build meaningful communities and networks.
Susan Cherono, the founder of Eseriani Place, a CBO with a focus on uplifting the lives of street kids, orphans and others in need guided us through a heartfelt exploration of altruism. She shed light on the transformative influence of giving and the impact generosity can have on individuals and communities alike.
The session with Sam Njuguna, the Rotaract District 9212 Chair of the Rotary Foundation served as an invaluable opportunity for our members to gain deeper insights into the foundation’s multifaceted contributions. Sam shed light on the foundation’s history and accomplishments and went further to illustrate the palpable change that arises from collective goodwill.
This was a fascinating journey into the day-to-day lives of the dynamic entrepreneurs in the Rotaract club of Nairobi Magharibi spanning various sectors including the manufacture and distribution of gypsum products, architecture, graphics design, online writing and beauty. It was an excellent opportunity for our entrepreneurial members to share their real life stories and challenges and inspire others to take on the journey of entrepreneurship.
